I am confounded by these shows on CNN and MSNBC that are trying to do election autopsies, and missing so wildly about what happened. I have been plugged into X for years, and what I read about the election for months, came true almost to a T. Anyone who listened to mainstream media for months has been more or less told this was in the bag for Biden or Harris. What REALLY happened?
The race baiters are out saying this was people voting against a black person. The fake feminists are out there saying this was a misogynist vote. The pro choice people are out there pitching the most extreme situations and shaving their heads. They still have no idea what happened, nor are they digesting what states rights means. Nor do they care. The last 6 days or so, I’m seeing shock, denial, and anger – stages of grieving happening. I’d like to help people get to acceptance without any cities burning down, and help understand WHY the progressives lost. Many of you just don’t want to hear it. You went to the fridge, then opened up a can of your favorite hateraide, and are continuing to convince yourselves that people HATE you.
Stop. Breathe. And please listen to me for the next 30-45 minutes of your life to try and comprehend what REALLY happened. What voters on my side were talking about, and NOT talking about.
First, let’s get to the core issues of what drove this, and then talk about what did NOT drive this.
- Inflation. The left wants to say how inflation is way down. This is trying to somewhat trick a population into thinking something by not explaining what it is. Imagine if over 4 years, you gain 9, 6, 4.5, and 2.5 pounds. In that 4 years, you gained 23 pounds. While in the last year, you only gained 2.5, you lowered the rate of yearly inflation. But you did not take prices DOWN to pre-COVID. Many were seeing much higher prices everywhere, and their wages did not increase with the rate of inflation. The left want to try and point you to fancy charts – but the reality is, those in rural areas may not have seen wage growth, but see cost of living increase.
- Wokeism. Pictures of Lia Thomas standing 2 feet taller than the other competitors and winning a competition by a football field is not what they had in mind with Title IX. Many of us WANT a happy and healthy life for those who are different from us, but we do not want their will imposed on us. Many feminists – who are traditional liberals – tried to speak out, and with this, got labeled “transphobic”. In reality, gender dysphoria for many years was a mental illness diagnosis. We feel compassion for these individuals, but it doesn’t mean we have to support their reality. What has happened was that “gender studies” professors everywhere tried to instill that there are hundreds of genders. That they can be fluent. Much of this entire discussion can be quashed by making sports divided by the sex you were born with, not the gender you feel you are most closely identified with. The documentary “what is a woman” pointed out that while no one on the left could or wanted to define a woman, many in the trans community wanted to be called one. This leads to words being completely thrown out or redefined. None of us wants bullying of kids. None of us wants someone to kill themselves. But this is completely different than allowing a biological male to compete against females – possibly causing females injury. Likewise, no one wanted tax payers to pay for sex reassignment surgeries.
- Illegal aliens. The left for years tries to constantly tell people that republicans are xenophobic and hate immigrants. They say it over, and over, and over again as if it was true. And – if they say it enough, gaslighting then by definition convinces their voter bloc it is true. In REALITY, we do not want ILLEGAL immigration. The millions of people who have come in here illegally have needed someplace to stay – which has soaked up rental units all over the country and drove costs sky high. There was a report that came out that 13,000 of these illegal aliens had been found guilty of murder. The ORIGINAL report stated these 13,000 were only put here the last 4 years, but the edit that came out a few days later corrected it to be all time, not just in the past 4 years. Still, not great. Why are they here? The rumor mill over the last 4 years was that places like Venezuela opened their prisons to allow the worst offenders to come here. In my state of PA, there was a national manhunt last year for an illegal who killed his gf and child. He was a former army guy in his country and I believed he killed someone there. It is easy to see how gangs like MS13 are coming to a city near you. How Venezuelan gangs took over an apartment complex. Yet, you had the Harris/Biden regime telling you illegal border crossings are down, at the same time literally flying people in to avoid the optics at the border. Cities like NYC are housing illegals everywhere and spending billions on them to give them housing, food, and phones – when we see former vets living homeless in the streets. They tried to tell us we were xenophobic. Then, we hear about “paths to citizenship” which may potentially add 20 million voters to the left – after they spend years giving them freebies. People SEE the effects of ILLEGAL immigration and want it to end.
- Debt. We are now at $36T in debt, and people like me see the wheels coming off. I spent years investing in gold and silver and miners as a hedge against massive inflation and hyperinflation. You then have Yellen talking to people as if $50T coming isn’t a big deal, as long as we are “growing”. The level of idiocy with full MMT was destined to come crashing down, and we are now at a point with record deficits – we see with our own eyes how we sent billions to help these other countries, and our bridges are falling apart and schools are useless. Our country is generous, but many felt that the inflation tied to the spending on others was making their costs go up. They aren’t wrong.
- Gas prices. This is directly tied to inflation, albeit not as obvious to voters. Day 1, Biden tore up Keystone Pipeline dreams and made it near impossible to get more oil. Rather than allow us to get more oil from our own shores, he raided the strategic petroleum reserve meant for war times. He never filled it back up. Americans want to not be involved in the middle east oil crises year after year, and we want to let them be, and allow us to be self sufficient.
- Wars. A thing missed with Trump’s first term is he not only didn’t start new wars, but he got us out of most. He was an advocate of peace through strength. Many of us are extremely anti-war classical liberals. Yet somehow, war broke out everywhere with Biden because he was not only perceived as weak, but his admin was friendly to war hawks. Liz Cheney was somehow a “trophy” for Harris?? Her dad was perhaps the most hated war hawk in history. This was a silly move to align the Dems with war hawks. Remember, many of us are classical liberals – and Trump’s position is far more aligned with liberalism than war after war with Biden and even Cheney. My concern also is that I have a 15 year old, and many don’t understand the concept of Selective Service and the draft. Anyone with teenage sons understands that if Biden or Harris say the wrong thing to the wrong person, WW3 evolves and with this, there is a statistical possibility my son is drafted for a war none of us wants.
- Main stream media collusion with big government. Many on the left haven’t been able to fully understand what has been going on for many years. In my opinion, the media was the “4th” branch of government in that it provided checks and balances on the other 3 branches. Freedom of the press allows this in our Constitution. However, what happened about 10-15 years ago with the internet was that news on the internet started making newspapers go bankrupt, and eventually, news broadcast stations started going under. This led to massive media conglomerates consolidating into a handful of powerful people running the media. Revenues then were generated by advertising – and you can see a lot of this with “sponsored by Pfizer”. Furthermore, evidence came out with the Twitter Files how big government swamp people would pressure social media and news organizations to present an official state narrative – or be dealt consequences. Many of us in 2020 pointed out the lunacy with 15 million votes for Biden that all seemed to come in well after the polls closed, and with this – we were censored and labeled “election deniers”. Now, people see 12m less votes for Harris than in 2020, and are crying foul that not all votes were being counted – not understanding the lunacy of where the 15 million actually came from last time. Many people like myself voted for an Elon-led Twitter to allow ALL voices. Feel free to add a community note or block people you do not want to see. This is different than censorship. You could see the state mobilize against Elon once it became apparent he was supporting Trump.
- The lawfare. Many want to call Trump a “fascist” and project that Trump would retaliate against his enemies with jailing them. What is of interest is they aren’t looking in the mirror to see they are doing exactly what they projected upon Trump. Tish James ran as DA to put Trump in jail. They “trumped up” charges on him, and found “novel” uses of criminal codes to then go after Trump in highly left leaning jurisdictions to then accuse him of crimes with no victims. The E. Jean Carroll case is absolutely one of the great miscarriages of justice of our time, ONLY to be eclipsed by trying to collect a $500m fine against Trump for using Mar A Lago as collateral on loans. Many of us who have been in real estate for decades saw the absolute lunacy of the kangaroo courts – and then saw how giddy these people were to try and seize Trump’s real estate. No billionaire is just sitting around on hundreds of millions in cash. Their assets are revenue generating. What you saw is big government trying to not only put a man in prison for the rest of his life for a crime with no victim, but they tried to take all of his money so he couldn’t run a presidential campaign without PAC money. Many states then tried to remove him from a ballot to “preserve” democracy. EVERYTHING they tried to accuse Trump of MAYBE doing someday – they ACTUALLY did to him. The chilling realization here is that a government that is highly supported by a widely far left media became the propaganda arm for the left to jail and smear a political opponent. When all of that failed, the media for weeks and months called him a Nazi – leading to people trying to assassinate him. The rhetoric is insane, and everyone who voted for Trump wants an end to the insanity with the rhetoric.
- States rights. I’ll get more into this below. But a sub-story of this election was the growing federal powers against the rights of the states. While many love to use the word “fascist” with Trump, they continue to use a word they have no fucking idea what it means. What Trump’s policy ACTUALLY is is to dismantle the power of the federal deep state to give more power back to the states. We are deeply divided on wedge issues. The idea of the left is to seize POWER at the federal level. Install more judges to enact your ideas. The idea of the right is to turn over these issues to the state and local, and allow people to shop for where they want to live where the ideals match where they want to live. While the left is constantly trying to call Trump a fascist, they aren’t realizing the irony in what they have done is….fascist. There is a remarkable Machiavellian approach to all of this. That is, we need to crush democracy in order to save it. Our Constitution was setup in such a way to ensure federal power is minimal, but what they do control – THEY control. The idea was that everything NOT talked about in the constitution then reverts to the states. This mostly worked well until slavery. You can recognize that maybe a state in the south that wanted that was bad. And you needed federal power to crush it. This led to the 14th amendment to the Constitution. In the votes today, you have wedge issues pushed by the left at the federal levels to then push this cultural shift to an entire population. Trump’s position, as is the reversal of Roe, is that this is not defined in the Constitution and not part of federal law. Therefore, control of this reverts to the states UNLESS a federal law allows or bans it, OR a constitutional amendment allows or bans it. Since most of the country is highly divided on this and it is likely to NEVER be a federal law or amendment, this issue is best suited with the states. If you lived in California, prior to this election, you had legal abortion. After the election, you still had legal abortion. Meaning, California voters were not affected, in any way, by a Trump win. He has come out many times stating he would not sign a national ban on abortion. So, for many in California, they somehow think they lost rights with a Trump win. They, did not. If you lived in Mississippi, you probably had abortion illegal before and after the election, and Harris being elected would not have made it legal. Meaning, if you want abortion to be legal in your state, this is a state issue you need to work on.
- Guns. Harris was labeled as the most left senator prior to becoming VP. Her policy was, and is, “mandatory gun buybacks”. This is code word for “gun confiscation”. At the same time their policies are allowing millions of potentially deadly people into this country, and “defund the police” is a major element of their platforms, I want to be able to retain the rights to protect my family with firearms under the 2nd amendment. 99.999999% of gun owners are fine. The issues are gang members who are constantly released from jails and buy guns on the black market – that are stolen from peoples homes. The other main issue is mental illness with all of these rogue shooters. No laws would have prevented most of these issues. Many of the school shooters recently have been trans people who were mentally ill and needed help – and most likely dealt with a tough time being bullied. While my heart goes out to anyone being bullied, the reality is these people were stealing guns and murdering people. This has nothing to do with those who are lawful gun owners. The left wants you to think that an inanimate object like a gun can get up and go kill people itself. It’s the same thing as blaming a knife for stabbings or a car for a DUI. There are real people involved here, and you need to address the problem with the people.
- The kids. Many of us are highly supportive of LGBT rights. But these “rights” are not infinite, and have limits. Many gays were for Trump, and one of the biggest gay activists for Trump was Scott Pressler. I listen to Dave Rubin daily, as he has incredible insights. What has happened culturally over the last few years was that the narrative of LGBT rights started trickling towards children, and this is something that has severely harmed the LGBT agenda. While you may want to call people homophobic and transphobic – you aren’t grasping the nuance that millions of people support your rights as an adult, but you crossed a line with the kids.
- Teachers talking about it in school. This is not their job. Teach how 1+1 = 2, and leave complex adult topics for the parents. Teachers are not licensed social workers or psychologists. I was in 5th grade before we had any form of sex ed, and it’s not appropriate to teach any of this to kids in kindergarten. Kids are smart, and they figure shit out just fine without someone with an agenda trying to “educate” my kids.
- Schools hiding shit from parents. No. No teachers or principals should be calling my kid one name at school and “hiding” an identity from me. This is activism.
- Drag story hour. This might be perhaps the one major thing that LGBT people need to distance themselves from. You are not grasping the optics on this, at all. Zero. You somehow defend this. “Drag” is a form of adult entertainment where men dress up as a form of a female character and perform shows. 25 years ago, I loved the movie “The bird cage”. But in daily life, this is an adult activity done at adult clubs. If anyone wants to go see it, have at it! The libertarian in me FIGHTS FOR YOU TO HAVE THIS RIGHT. But the second you have kids involved, you lost. Period. This is a matter of how disillusioned you are from reality.
- Trans surgeries and drugs for kids. You hear how a lot of this “treatment” is life saving. In reality, Jordan Peterson pointed out that many of these people don’t stop being depressed, and many years later want to de-transition. Puberty blockers can sterilize children. We don’t let a kid get a tattoo until they are 18, but at 4 they somehow have the ability to pick a gender? Many of these treatments are listed as reversable, and are not. It’s a one-way ticket to having no natural born children. And, the internet is filled with people regretting the transition speaking out against it. Here’s what many LGBT people fail to grasp. I don’t care if you are 18 and want to get a gender re-assignment surgery. Do not care. Live your best life. Have sex with whoever you want or don’t want to. Wear whatever outfits you want and have purple or pink hair. I do not care. But when you have teachers asking kids who are 11 if they think they may have been born in the wrong body, you start a path here that may be very difficult to unwind. Now – there are little known conditions like being a hermaphrodite which is pretty rare, and these things need to be treated differently. But Megan Fox has 3 kids and they are all somehow trans? Really? What many have found is that many people having children that are trans is a way of virtue signaling. This may be different from being a parent of an adult who decides they want to live as another gender. Again – the problem is the kids – but all of you are being told we hate LGBT people. We don’t. Live in peace. Just stay away from the kids. I was going to link “We are coming for your children” here which is on YouTube, but the video owner doesn’t allow it to be shared out. Watch that video, and you will see what the problem is today with LGBT issues and the classical liberals. The GOP tent now has traditional conservatives, but it is now also the home of a lot of classical liberals, like me. While many on the left want to demonize “far right religious” people and call them transphobic, you are missing that much of the moderate left is aligning themselves with the GOP for issues like this. Stay away from the kids.
There are a lot of other items people like me cared about – but most of the country didn’t even know about. I was a big opponent of a CBDC, or central bank digital currency. One of the left’s big positions with the environment has been trying to push people away from meat consumption and with this, concepts like “carbon credits” in relation to food had been talked about. Government could then ration out how much meat you could buy based on control of your CBDC digital wallet. This was also closely tied to the concept of “vaccine passes” where if you got the vax they ordered you to get, you could then shop and go about your business. If you did not comply, they could “turn off your wallet”. This was a control mechanism that the libertarian in me railed hard against, but this was not a mainstream issue many knew about.
What this election was NOT about:
- hatred of women. I had heard people crying about misogyny. We do not “hate” women. Rather, we want our sisters, mothers, and daughters to be able to play sports without a biological man taking competitive opportunities.
- transphobia. We aren’t irrationally afraid of trans people. As stated above, stay away from the kids, and stay out of women’s sports, and you will be fine. Yet the deafness here is astounding.
- Gay anything. Many on the LGBT spectrum think somehow that Trump is about to round up gays in concentration camps. It’s the most ludicrous idea out there. There are an insane amount of gay people that voted for Trump in this election. Most don’t realize he was at Elton John’s wedding 20 years ago when most in the dem party was against gay marriage. He’s a NY republican, which is about as moderate as you can go. Nothing about Trump’s platform was against gay anything. Yet the mainstream news and leftists constantly tried to tell you “Project 2025” was Trump’s agenda. It wasn’t. He may be one of the most gay-friendly politicians in the country. The GOP agenda actually removed that a marriage is defined as a man and a woman. My issue with gay marriage is NOT gay marriage. It is how it came about. While the left doesn’t GAF about the HOW, they just care about not losing it. In reality, when I got married to my wife in New York, every other state recognizes my ability to be miserable with the person I want to spend the rest of my life with. This is article 1, section 8 of the interstate commerce clause. A contract in one state is valid in another. What the supreme court ruling did was not legalize gay marriage, it just prevented laws against it. If you were gay and got married in NY, nothing about this election will remove your marriage if you are living in Mississippi. They have to recognize the marriage. Highly conservative states wanted to be able to not issue gay marriage licenses. While this may be bigoted, this was their right. Anyone who lived in that state and could not secure a marriage license could be married in a state that allowed it, and it would be recognized in the state that did not issue the license. People like myself advocate for a law to be passed by congress or an amendment to allow gay marriage. But the courts aren’t meant to create law, only interpret it and determine its Constitutionality.
- Race. Many of us saw Harris as someone who would pander to whatever audience she was in front of by throwing on accents to try and identify with them. I voted for Obama twice. I don’t care what race she was. I would try and listen to her to understand what her policies were, and she not only avoided every scripted question directly, but her answers usually were filled with platitudes and lacked direct policy. So you see race baters on CNN somehow claiming I’m racist for not voting for Harris. This, is idiocy. And – they say it enough times to then make their viewers think it is true. They find some hillbilly on a tractor somewhere to say something stupid, then they want to paint everyone, everywhere with some idea that everyone is racist. That institutional racism is here forever. I’m 48. I grew up loving Will Smith. Cliff Huxtable (sorry about that one). My favorite players in sports were Mike Schmidt, Pete Rose, Randall Cunningham, Donovan McNabb, Reggie White, Charles Barkley, John Kruk, and Ryan Howard. Will Smith made great movies and had billions at the box office. Dave Chappelle is my favorite comedian, along with Bill Burr. The fallacy of the left here is that I cared at all about her race. What Americans care about is:
- hard work
- green – are you successful. I don’t care what color you are. Whether you are white, black, Asian, hispanic – how have you overcome your struggles to make it.
- personality. I loved things that both John Kruk and Charles Barkley said over the years.
- fairness. We want one set of rules for all, not a set of rules for each gender, every race, mixes of races, sexual identity. Many people who succeed find ways to overcome obstacles. Overcoming is what then gets you the respect and admiration of a population.
- Being a “crook”. Everyone on the left pointed to felonies like they were bragging about their trophy case. What many people saw, including those who have been fighting the criminal justice system – was a government overreach to use the entire weight and might of the federal government to ruin someone. While this man had run 500 companies and had several companies of them go bankrupt, no one disputes he is and was a ruthless NY businessman. While many on the left wanted to point to labels – the truth is the evidence of any real wrongdoing didn’t exist. The E. Jean Carroll case is troubling, at best. At best. Grabbing women by the “P” talked about his playboy lifestyle with consenting adults, back in the day. While crude, it was a private conversation leaked. None of us who went to college and were in a fraternity 30 years ago ever would have wanted a single conversation recorded and leaked. We realized that, in reality, he was a charming billionaire with women all around him and he was braggadocios. I’m not excusing it, but only recognizing that there is a vast difference here when it comes to “consent”. The left wanted to point to Carroll’s civil suit as “rape” – in reality, it was a he said/she said from decades ago that was never a criminal trial and never had the evidence needed. So what the left did was “bet” on accusations to be the equivalent of evidence in a criminal trial to convict his character. What we saw on the right was a playboy billionaire who had access to beautiful women his entire life – and had some people accuse him with little to no evidence to smear his reputation. What most on the left don’t realize is that today, with #meToo – men are absolutely terrified of some random person making accusations against them to ruin their lives – despite never doing a damn thing wrong. We grew up around the time of the Duke Lacrosse case – and while the DA eventually was disbarred, the young men accused had their lives ruined. While no doubt there is a problem with people coming forward and we don’t want to shame them, there is also a problem with false accusations. Many times billionaires get shakedowns all the time, and because of this – many cases are settled for $50k or the like rather than allowing an accuser to go public. While no doubt some of these are true, others are not. The case against Trevor Hoffman has cost that man $100m in salary, and he’s still blackballed from baseball today after Hoffman’s team showed evidence that he was targeted.
Federalism and states rights
While I discussed a good portion of states rights above, many on the left are not aware of the people they got into bed with. Absolutely no idea. Maybe some do. But let’s look at what the big deal is.
Trump, today, has the senate and the house. If he wanted to, he could add more supreme court justices and then lock off the dems from doing this and control the SC for decades. This is actually what the dems wanted to do. This was their idea to be able to re-support Roe. Now, given the ability to do such:
- The republicans have zero desired to expand the court. None. IF they were all controlling, they would do this and block the dems from ever having the court. No, they want LESS control at the federal level
- The senate could remove the filibuster. This means ANY LEGISLATION that Trump wanted to pass, he could by a simple majority in the senate. The left wanted to do this so they could pass legislation to give illegal immigrants a path to citizenship. McConnell has affirmed that the senate will NOT remove the filibuster. While you need a simple majority for appointments, legislation still requires a 60 vote majority. If the republicans were evil and fascist, they would remove the filibuster and ram through everything they want. But, they are not. Ask yourself how fascist it is to not seize this power?
People like myself have this image of America.

I want to be left alone. At our core, this is what a lot on the right feel. They want to get married, have kids, have some land, be able to protect themselves. I want to have chickens. I want to walk around my property. I want to grow my own food. I want to ride a tractor and clear trees. I want peace. I do not want you in my bedroom. I don’t want to know about your bedroom. I don’t care. I don’t need to march with you in some parade. I want to be left alone, and I want to leave you alone.
I want to be able to earn a living and pay as little taxes as humanly possible. I want to keep what I earn. I think there are some merits to some aspects of socialism to COMPLEMENT society. I like a good portion of our public school system. I understand why social security is needed. I understand a need for a welfare system to help people in their worst of times. But much of that system is abused and now has grown into a massive bureaucracy. My local school is a giant behemoth. Probably a $100m school. I get some kids are super poor and might need help for school lunches.
But my ideal for this country is minimalist government. Yes. I need a road. We need infrastructure. So many of us support a good portion of these things, if there’s return on this investment. Just sending billions to Ukraine to buy defense contractor weapons to fight Putin for some reason isn’t on our top 100 things we care about.
I understand need for taxes. But the left went “wealth tax” to strip our unrealized gains. Many of us just want flat taxes, tariffs, and completely get rid of the IRS. Instead, something was put into place to hire 80,000 more agents. With the IRS scandal in 2011 or so, I don’t trust our government not to target political opponents to unfairly strip their wealth.
I understand the need for a USDA. An FDA. A department of education. But many of these institutions have grown far beyond their initial mandates. An idea I heard that I love to “crush the swamp” is to relocate a lot of these agencies all over the country. I LOVE this idea. While we are at it, we can strip them down. Take away a lot of the regulatory power.

This decision above was a MAJOR WIN for people like me who want smaller government. What has happened over the last 40 years or so was that bureaucracy grew in size and scope. One case I heard with this had to do with a fisherman having to hire in an observer full time on his boat to ensure he was doing things by the book. This cost sent his profits plummeting to the point where it was driving him out of business. What has happened then, over 40 years – is these “experts” get into government, create a program, and suddenly there are tons of rules and regulations everywhere which slow and stop business.
Anecdotally, I dealt with the city of Reading, PA for 2 years trying to get my one rental unit to rent out. Big picture was that the zoning had to be changed, and with this, I needed inspections. I couldn’t use people to fix my place unless they were licensed in the city of Reading. For example, someone who has a plumber’s license in the state of PA, I could not get them to do work and pull permits. Instead, I could only used licensed people in Reading. No directory of these. So I had to call around everywhere, and no one would come do work for me because they would not work inside city limits, or they weren’t licensed. Others that were, were busy for months out and would not take my work unless I was paying double – to bump them from other jobs they promised. It cost me about $6000 in lawyers fees, permits. It cost me about $20,000 in higher costs for contractors than I wanted to use. It cost me about $24,000 in lost rents due to the delays. One regulation required a hot water heater to be lifted 18″ off of the floor. My hot water heater was on the first floor garage floor – and was only 16.5″ off of the floor. I had to spend thouands getting a new hot water heater that would fit and get my plumber out there numerous times- before the city of Reading officially scolded me for using a plumber not licensed in the city of Reading, but had 30 years of experience and was licensed in the state of PA. All of these costs then have to get passed to tenants – which drive up their costs substantially. People want to talk about “greedy” people. No – it’s business and ROI. If I’m investing in something, I’m taking a risk with it, and my investment dollars need a return. If I do NOT do this, it’s less housing in the city. Furthermore, lack of investment would then have the entire city turned into a pile of rubble over 50 years. Which, is what happened.
Then, you have people who hoover up the depressed property values at pennies on the dollar and make a fortune after they know the right people to get things done and grease the right politicians. While this is anecdotal and on a small scale – it shows you how small businesses are thwarted all day, every day, from getting things done. My renovation costs were double what my budget was.
People like me see the lunacy in someone being licensed at the state, but not being allowed in the city of Reading to work. But this is a microcosm of what is going on at the big boy level. Because of this, costs go up, gridlock happens, and expediency to get anything done is lost. Progress is swallowed up by a machine in delays, fees, payoffs, and endless rounds of approvals.
What you can see at the federal level then is a massive, massive bureaucracy living and breathing in the DC area. They feed on dollars and grow in size every year. Anyone who has spent 5 minutes around DC sees all of the three letter agencies that live there, all of the government agencies, and all of the defense contractors. I believe – that between Chrevon, Musk, and Trump – that much of this swamp is about to be disassembled over the years to come.
People like Cheney were all about the massive defense industry swamp. Wars are good for business. They aren’t good for taxpayers. We have assembled the most deadly fighting force in the history of the world – and it is our party’s position that we want peace through strength. While we may have floating military bases in the form of aircraft carriers – it doesn’t mean we want to use them. We have stealth bombers, we don’t want to use them. Let many troops exit the military and bring down the size of our military. Close a lot of bases. Bring troops home. I don’t want us in 700 locations around the world.
But the left here has unwittingly aligned themselves with the defense industrial complex. Interestingly enough, if you are on Twitter and see handles regarding Ukraine, they have the Ukrainian flag and are leftists. Somehow, the leftists became allied with warmongers – and Liz Cheney was the cherry on the top of that. Many do not talk about the root cause of a lot of that problem. They want to do to Putin what they did to Trump – put him in a box with labels. If you have a conversation with people who are familiar with a lot of this, you can see the root issue was a fight for the presidency in Ukraine in 2013 or so. We wanted to install someone friendly to us, Putin wanted someone friendly to him. Big picture was that someone friendly to us was installed, and much of the east of Ukraine (ethnic Russians) fought this. Russians backed them, we backed the rest of Ukraine. Russia seized their port for military reasons. We put sanctions on them. But in the last few years, the US talked about Ukraine joining NATO – which is the reason Putin then invaded Ukraine. Most of the region Russia now controls is ethnic Russians – but it also is rich in oil and gas. Point is – in Jan 2022, you had Harris talking about Ukraine joining NATO, and a month later Putin invaded. It provoked him – and then because of this, we give Ukraine aid. This aid is taxpayer money which then allows them to use this to buy stuff from us. Enriching our defense contractors.
The left has also unwittingly allied themselves with big media which does not support the freedom of speech. This mainstream media group is a form of universal voice which is fed narratives by the leftist controlled swamp to program you daily with your drip of hatred of Trump. It was on display right after madison square garden. Where 50 years ago you wanted journalists to be unbiased and be “nothing but the facts ma’am”, today – leftists are part of a propaganda machine owned and controlled by the leftists in the swamp.
Additionally, the left has then become part of big pharma. Where many years ago, it was a good idea to avoid candy to not get type 2 diabetes, today they tell you just to take insulin. Everything is about treatment rather than root cause. The machine that has convinced you that eating 80% carbs is good for you are the same people now providing cancer treatment for the 1 in 3 people who have cancer now as opposed to 1 in 30 100 years ago.
All of this is now tied to big money at the highest levels – and the more funding many of these agencies get – the more funding defense, media, and pharma get.
Leave me alone
If this is how you want to live, have at it.

If you want to fund crazy shit at your state level, I don’t care. But people that live like this have daily interactions with government. From government owned and operated subways, public transportation, housing authorities, police, sanitation workers – your day to day life is not what I experience. I do not want to have your mores pushed on me, and I do not expect my mores to be pushed onto you.
The fight on this presidency was for many of us who want to be left alone, to be left alone. You have been TOLD it’s due to racism. Or homophobia. Or transphobia. Or xenophobia.
It wasn’t.
This election, to many of us, was about getting government out of our lives. Our homes. Our paychecks, our children’s schooling, our checkbooks, our ability to do business.
For many people – this entire election was about their right to have an abortion. It was the only issue they cared about. These are called “single issue voters” and what happens is that the machine targets you with the most extreme rhetoric, then this extremely rare case of “what if” then becomes your battle cry. Not understanding that big government, big defense, big pharma are all paying for these ads to get you to vote to the left to support them.
Ironically, you see a lot of these angry women taking on “4b” today. Essentially, they say they are done with sex. The interesting observation made over this is that this also solves an abortion issue. Women who live in 27 states where abortion is legal today, will be legal in February, and will be legal in February 2029, somehow think withholding sex is going to change the minds of conservative voters who do not want to date them. Meanwhile, you have many conservatives who want to have a lot of children. Essentially, the left is culling their gene pool to protest something that we aren’t taking their rights away on.
Misinformation vs disinformation vs malinformation
One thing that has made my blood boil over the last few years has been the government using terms called “misinformation” now to smear the knowledge of their political opponents. If you listen to a lot of analysis, they talk about Elon Musk as the central provider of misinformation. That “only if we had been able to control the misinformation, we would have won”. Meaning – they wanted their czar of misinformation to regulate the official “truth”.
I will be the first to admit there is some whacky stuff on Twitter. But it goes both ways. The free market solution to this Elon created with the community notes. Elon at times had even sent out some weird shit that later was incorrect. At its heart, the struggle here was about government being able to control the narrative. And, when Elon bought Twitter – this monopoly began to be crushed.
Many of you don’t grasp how close we were to moving towards a soviet system. While this might be somewhat laughable to you, I grew up in the 1980s where there was a Russian state TV. It was news provided by the government, essentially. That was “truth”. The Twitter files showed how the US government was getting companies to censor, on its behalf.
As long as the narrative was congruent with your line of thinking, all is well. But what happened in 2020-2021 with the vaccine stuff is many of us saw the VAERS numbers out of control. I had a LOT of anecdotal stuff happen to my friends and family – and anyone who tried to state that there was harm done was called an “anti-vaxxer”. I am FOR vaccines. In this case, they changed the definition of a vaccine. This “treatment” was not, nor would ever prevent COVID. The “machine” came out and made fun of Joe Rogan for using “horse de-wormer” and later – Sanjay Gupta from CNN was on and admitted CNN was wrong. Later, Andrew Cuomo also admitted it was wrong. So the US government got censorship to work on their behalf to promote “vaccines” which would enrich pharm companies with billions of dollars. Treatments like Ivermectin were ridiculed.
Dis-information is intentionally providing incorrect information. Mis-information is accidentally providing incorrect information. Mal-information is providing correct information, but is against the forced narrative – it is inconvenient for those in control. So, the government actively used DIS-information to control a population, then claimed that MAL-information was MIS-information.
Essentially, the left who fought Trump on the “vaccine” but ran to get the shot when Biden told them – proved to be a very malleable voting bloc. It was the same shots developed by Pfizer and Moderna – but they were not available until a day AFTER the election, to which anyone on the left REFUSED to get it because it was going to be a Trump win if they did. People like me didn’t give a shit if it was Trump or Biden who made a treatment available, we wanted to wait to see how it played out. Biden’s team eventually used the bullying power of the entire federal government to then force you to get a shot – or risk losing your job and being ex-communicated from society. While I never got the shot, those who did close to me who did – suffered. And, there’s no ability to sue – and virtually impossible to tie cause and effect unless you have Dr. House doing a forensic reconstruction for you.
Those on the left then tried to bully anyone who didn’t want it. Told us they want us to die rather than get treatment at a hospital because we would take a bed we don’t deserve. The rhetoric was insane.
Most of it was dis-information. The virus did come from the Wuhan lab that the NIH was working with – under Dr. Fauci. Many of us saw how these people were then compensated by drug companies – despite working in government. “Big pharma” wanted billions in contracts and then dis-informed people about the benefits of Ivermectin and other treatments. Anyone who stood up to the nonsense was de-platformed, labeled a conspiracy nut, or called an “anti-vaxxer”. People were being told that a “vaccine passport” was coming – and if you didn’t have it, you wouldn’t be able to engage with society. Some really cold shit was coming.
And, they spent all of this time trying to tell you that I was MIS-informing you.
I am at a point in my life where I had never trusted government less. This election helped me start to heal. Community notes to me are a better free market solution than government censorship. And, I feel that this election was a mandate on removing the large government powers who want to control the information. I had heard a Harris supporter essentially say that if Elon didn’t buy Twitter to allow misinformation, that Harris would win. Translation – “if the government was allowed to keep feeding you lies, Harris would have won”.
Conclusion
In the aftermath of this election, many aren’t realizing that this was a moderate group of former liberal Dems who got together to stop the lunacy. The left has gone FAR left, and anyone who disagreed with their philosophy was branded “far right”. I was a dem for 20 years and the party went crazy left. Elon, Tim Pool, RFK, Tulsi – all dems like me who left the party. Trump was a democrat for many years.
Is everyone “far right” or have you gone “far left” and you don’t even realize it? The dem party was liberals. Even Bill Maher is now calling out the craziness of progressives. Progressivism is also in a sense a form of communism. Marxism is meant to divide the people and pit themselves against each other while government comes in and gets bigger and takes more power.

Nate excellent article and right on. How I have been feeling for a few years now. Now if Trump can help get rid of Trudeau in Canada.
Question. Your last name is Fish. Not that common a last name. One of my grandparents on paternal side was a Fish. Have you done any research into your family roots. My Fish family is from Somerset in South west England. There are aspects of Fish I am not able to trace relating to 1932 to 1938 when my Grandfather disappeared and I think he went to USA before returning to UK.
By the way I was in the mining industry for 30+ years. Mostly Africa and Latin America. Mostly gold.
Let me know if there is a possibility,
best regards

My last name is actually fisher :). Appreciate the comments. I like Pierre up there and have been following a lot of their sparring for the last 1-2 years. The trucker thing you guys went through was the final straw for many of us having polite words to say about Trudeau.
